About Us
STePS pioneers approaches to formal and non-formal learning to enable personal growth and inclusive and sustainable change in organizations and territories. We work nationally and internationally to promote educational research, reflection and rethinking of traditional learning and teaching approaches (including informal and non-formal settings). STePS develops initiatives aimed at empowering societies through personalized, collaborative and participatory forms of learning. We foster lifelong learning opportunities by using museums, libraries, theatres, gardens and even supermarkets as alternative learning environments, but we do not give up on essential activities such as proper training needs analysis, development and assessment of key competences. We foster knowledge building and sharing through communities of practice. STePS works in a strict contact with many organisations and institutions that are active at local, national and European level: public authorities and private bodies, enterprises and associations, NGOs and research centres, which can contribute to a coherent and significant renewal of regional, national and European policies in the field of education, culture and of social policies.
